Push for Change continues

Väestöliitto starts a new campaign "Kapua 2010 Malawi" together with KAPUA Aidventures. KAPUA raises funds for developing countries by climbing mountains. The goal of the KAPUA 2010 Malawi campaign is to raise awareness on maternal health and to raise funds for maternal health in Malawi.

In September 2010 a group of Finns will journey to Malawi to visit local women in need and raise funds for them throughout the year. The group of approximately 15 charity climbers will be chosen from people who have applied via www.kapua.fi by 16.11.2009.

Irina Björklund continues as a maternal health advocate!

The actress and musician Irina Björklund donated part of the proceedings of her summer tour to Väestöliitto's development cooperation projects in Malawi and Nepal. Check Irina Björklund's myspace pages here.

Björklund was a spokesperson for the Push for Change campaign in 2008 and continues promoting safe motherhood with us.
